The 65 Th session started with the song by Bharat Desai.

Thereafter eminent seniors, M L Swamy, Former Chief Engineer Andhra Pradesh, M Santhanam, Former Judge of Chennai high court, B K Rao, IAS, Former Secretary of Steel and Mines Government of India, R Chandra Shekher, Former Corporate Executive, and Pradeep Joshi,Program Manager joined in congratulating Bharat Desai for running well structured and interesting Current Event program successfully.

S V Sastry gave very, informative and analytical talk on 'How we can avoid violence in any form prevailing every where at present'? He was of view that violence is prevalent in Iraq, Afghanistan,and many other countries. It is also there in form of suicide bomber etc. The violent destruction of of 9/11 is also very much in our mind. He further that we have to find causes for the same in order to find some solution. He explained that lack of opportunity, eduction, and employments are the root causes of prevailing violence at present. He concluded that proper education and providing basic needs of every one is the right answer for all the violence in the society.

Bharat Desai then introduced the Guest speaker Subodh Desai, a former Joint Secretary and Chief Protocol Officer, Gujarat government.Thereafter guest speaker gave talk on ' The latest progress of Gujarat' . He said that India is going to be one of the world powers by 2025 and its economy is booming accordingly. He added that Gujarat has to keep space with those developments for giving its own contributions thereon. Besides that he further stated that' There is no need to introduce Gujarat as it has produced Dayanand Sarasvati to Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. Gujarat was also patronized by Lord Krishna,Adi Sankeracharya to Sahajanand Swami. It is well known fact that Gujarati have done very well in science, industry, and even in foreign lands. There are Gujarat oriented Industrial houses like Reliance, Tata, and has also produced scientist like Vikram Sarabhai, Homi Bhabha. In short Gujarat has been the source of new waves and ideas, in entrepreneurship. In that context he said that Gujarat is still on the path of developments. He substantiated his statement with the figures. He said that Gujarat has achieved very high GDP(between 12% to15%), which indicates the high rate of growth. Beside that Gujarat is producing 80% of cut and polished diamond,40% of pharmaceutical product,40% of art silk, and 40%of Sponge Iron of India. Its share in industrial production of India is 15% and in Export 14% respectively. Besides that it has develop 71000 Miles of Road. It has 5000 Miles of Railway, 41 ports and produces 14000 Mega Walt of electricity. It is interlinking 20 rivers for lifting the water and providing it to its dry area in north and west. Gujarat has also internationally attracted investment of more then 4lakes cores during Vibrant Gujarat 2007. It is also developing 33 special economic along with IT parks. This gives insight of the Gujarat progress. He concluded that the credit of all progress goes to the administration along with the entrepreneurship of Gujarati people.

Naginbhai Jagada then presented humour which was also received well .

Bharat Desai then introduce the Guest Artist Arabhi Sunderarajan and young tabla player Nikhil Joshi. Arabhi Sunderarajan presented classical and semi classical songs in her melodious voice. It was received very well by audience. Nikhil Joshi, 11th grade student accompanied her on tabla. His talent was also appreciated.

The program was concluded with the vote of thanks by Nagin Jagada.
