Mrs R M Mathur offered prayer at the beginning of program.Thereafter Bharat Desai introduced the various Speakers.
R K Garg gave very interesting talk on' The present state of India and measures to brings back its ancient Glory'. He said that India has made very good economic progress including in High Tech. However we are still continuing with the system which are given by British rulers. Therefore it is very much necessary to bring changes in our Executive, Judicial and Legislative system which are outdated and does not suits to our present democratic rule. He further pointed out that the recommendations made by various administrative Reform commissions have not been implemented. He informed that' About ten million cases are pending in the Indian Judicial system. The Lokpal bill is pending since last 30 years. The corruption has increased and Moral values have gone down in public life. We are more after material gain then happiness. In short there is no control over human desire which has brought down the moral values. He concluded that with material progress we must make more efforts to preserve what is good for our Culture and Country. Besides that he impressed upon the speedy Reforms in our Executive, Judicial, Legislative Systems.
Madhusudan Thatte gave his own practical experiences of Mumbai, regarding work Ethics. He said that it relates both i.e. Employers and Employees. He further informed that some of the attitude of Employers were deplorable then, but the restrictive, and violent attitudes of Trade Unions were also undesirable. In short Employers must see the welfare of the Employees and Employees should be also sincere to their work.
Thereafter former Major General of Indian army Dr R M Mathur presented the slides of past Historical maps of the Northern Indian Border with China. He pointed out the difficulties regarding demarcation of Northern Indian boarders with China.
Pragna Dadbhawala briefed regarding 'Gujarat Day' Celebration on 24 th May 08, Saturday at Sunnyvale Hindu Temple, Sunnyvale. She also made Video presentation regarding Economical Progress Achieved by Gujarat.
Mrs Dorairaj offered Devotional Songs from Tukaram, Tulsidas and Mira.
Mr V K Dorairaj did summing up and proposed the vote of Thanks at the end.
