Varsha Desai presented Sarvadharma prarthana in the beginning of the program. Thereafter Bharat Desai introduced the eminent lady members who presented the talks. He also introduced the two Senior artists Sita Dorairaj, and Padma Sohini.
V K Dorairaj gave talk on America after Obama wherein he mentioned the problem faced by Obama when he became president and the present handling of those crisis. Besides that he has to also handle financial crisis of America. He is still handling Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and North Korea in his own way. He has told Muslim world that he is not fighting against Islam but his fight is against terrorism. He has also tried to encourage confidence in the allies. He visited more then 20 countries including Europe.
Smt Rangamani Swamy gave talk on recent movement regarding Telagana. She said that India was never one.Britishers created one India with different administrative regions. however dividing states we have open Pandora box for further division of the India.
Smt Bhanumati Desai gave talk on 'The hidden comparative highlights of economic growth in Gujarat' wherein she substantiated with facts and figures regarding the economical progress of Gujarat. She informed that 30% cotton of India is grown in Gujarat. It is handing 40%of art silk industry. 1/3 of Denim is produced in Gujarat. 40% of pharmaceutical production of India is in Gujarat. Gujarat economic growth is 12% equivalent to china.in short Gujarat growth is very high in competition with other states.
A Narayanaswami, V T Jotwani, Jayshribahen Vasavada, C G desai m l swamy, tyigrajan and sashtri took part in the discussion regarding presented subjects. it was mainly related to the reorganization of the Indian states i.e. its
merits and demerits.
Premlatabahen Majmundar sumed up and congratulated the presenters.
She also proposed vote of thanks.
Sita Dorairaj presented songs in different languages while Padma Sohini also presented Devotiona Songs at the end. It was received well by members.
